Design Architecture
SBA Architects will bring your visions to reality through drawings and written specifications. Architecture is broken down into five phases of service: schematic design, design development, construction documents, bidding and negotiation, and construction administration. The design phases give the client a first glimpse of their home or building.

Programming
Architectural programming is the thorough and systematic evaluation of the values, goals, facts, and needs of a client’s organization, facility users, and the surrounding community. A well-conceived program leads to high-quality design. Programming led by SBA Architects can provide clients with a systematic process for decision making about organizational and project values, goals, and requirements. Many clients have a limited view of the range of physical possibilities for accommodating their operations; SBA Architects has the ideal professional background to help them visualize options during programming. The programming process can expose clients to a wide range of alternative approaches and help them choose appropriate directions.

Space Planning
SBA Architects will block out interior spatial areas, define circulation patterns, and develop plans and layouts for furniture and equipment placement. Space planning services consider numerous design parameters, including the client’s project goals and priorities, the client’s organizational structure and relationships, space allocation criteria, building codes and access for the disabled, furniture standards, circulation and work flow, design considerations, the constraints of fixed building elements and building system interfaces, security and privacy issues, and flexibility for accommodating future space needs.

Feasibility Analysis and Studies
SBA Architects is able to provide a study for any size project. This is a rigorous analysis and documentation of all aspects of the anticipated building. The purpose is to define:

• The goals of the project;
• Opportunities and constraints of the designated site;
• Key issues influencing the design;
• The sizes and design criteria for every room in the building;
• The limits of the project site and the scope of all related site improvements; such as roads, landscaping, and utilities;
• Design criteria for all building systems;
• Estimated construction cost;
• Parking and Transportation Needs.

Master Planning
A Master Plan is an evolving, long-term comprehensive planning document and tool to establish key elements and the framework of a site or building. This process begins by defining design criteria that serves as a layout strategy for a facility or development. SBA Architects will look at the program requirements, economic viability, and layout of a neighborhood, development, site, or building to develop a plan and guide for a client’s future development and growth.

Green/Sustainable Design
SBA Architects is dedicated to sustainable design. Sustainable design strives to reduce negative impacts on the environment, and the health and comfort of building occupants. In order to do this, the buildings need to have improved performance. Utilizing a sustainable design philosophy encourages decisions at each phase of the design process that will reduce negative impacts on the environment and the health of the occupants. The basic objectives of sustainability are to reduce consumption of non-renewable resources, minimize waste, and create healthy, productive environments. SBA Architects is accredited with LEED and the National Association of Home Builders for sustainable design.

3-D Rendering
SBA Architects utilizes the latest three dimensional drafting software, BIM, to produce construction documents. This software allows a building or home to be designed as a computer model which can be turned into sketch or photo realistic renderings. BIM is an essential tool in helping client’s realize the concept of their project.
