Client: Mount Carmel Borough
Location: Mount Carmel, PA

A new 5,707 square foot building to house the Borough Office and Police.  This municipal building was an urban infill in a small downtown area.  The challenge was to fit the required scope within the property boundaries and work with the slope of the property.  The scope included borough offices with a council room and a police department.  With the existing historic downtown surrounding the new building, it was critical the design was well integrated into its surrounding.  Modern materials that reflected historic materials were used on the front façade visible to the public.  The other building faces incorporated more economic materials.
