This project involved the renovation and addition to an existing Lab Building.  The building was initially designed to accommodate additional floors. We analyzed the existing structure and configuration and proposed three different scenarios.  The program was to develop a training facility for students and staff. 

The training spaces required an exact replica of an emergency room and other spaces in the hospital.  It was not critical to have all the gases, lines, and machines functional since the rooms were for training and observation.  We had to lay out the spaces with observation areas and windows.  Throughout the process we were always being conscious of green and sustainable practices that could be incorporated and working towards at least a LEED Certified building from the USGBC
