Elias Church – Center for the Performing Arts

Client: Mifflinburg Heritage and Revitalization Association, Inc.
Location: Mifflinburg, PA

$500,000 restoration of 1806 Germanic, timber-framed church structure for use as a performing arts center.

Project completed in 2009, on time and under budget.  Subsequent project included a new restroom facility built with Sun Tech student labor, completed in 2013.  The restoration managed a delicate balance with the restoration of the original structure as the primary focus.  Modern HVAC and lighting for theatrical events were carefully integrated, yet remain largely invisible.

This multi-phased project included services to assist in Grant writing.  Two successful grants were received and administered from design through construction.
